Looking for lessons? Are you a beginner? An experienced player looking to learn new styles and experiment? I would love to help! I personally don’t recommend that beginners take online lessons, as there’s a lot of hands on work required. I do think that there are great videos that explain the basics, and help you get all the right equipment to get going, but at first you are going to need lessons in person. That’s just my opinion! If you are not a beginner, let’s have a chat about what you’re working on and where you want to go, and we can discuss and make a plan that’s right for you! Click here to sign up for a free consultation and we can go from there! I look forward to chatting with you.
More about my studies in music and teaching experience:
Sophie Armstrong began studying the violin at the age of three, and during her school years in Australia, studied with Alex Todicescu and Chairman Gadd, achieving both the Associate & Licentiate Diplomas of Music in Violin Performance from the Australian Music Examinations Board. Sophie completed her Bachelor of Music (Violin Performance Major) at Sydney Conservatorium with Goetz Richter. Sophie then went on to study other styles of performance, and has given hundreds of solo performances around the globe of her own compositions.
Sophie has performed on stages with various artists in ensembles, and as a soloist in different genres including hip hop, pop and world in addition to classical music. Sophie has enjoyed teaching for more than 15 years and is passionate about sharing music with others not only through performance but through teaching and believes that every student has their very own unique musical path to discover.
