Last night, Sophie joined Canadian performers including Chantal Kreviazuk, Jarvis Church, Clifton Murray and Fraser Walters (The Canadian Tenors), Dan Hill, Keshia Chanté, the Mississauga Youth Theatre (click here for artist details) to perform two songs together for the Renew the World Gala to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of stem cells by two Canadian scientists, Drs. James Till and Ernest McCulloch, and to officially launch the Foundation. This historic, high profile event brought together over 500 of Canada’s most influential business leaders, philanthropists, politicians and an unprecedented array of icons from every conceivable field—science, the arts, sport, entertainment, business and media.
