Sophie Armstrong (formerly known as Sophie Serafino) is a Canada based Australian instrumental global music artist. An award-winning violinist, composer, Sophie has shared her story through her global music style in over 40 cities worldwide. Described by the Daily Telegraph Australia as “Inimitable” and “Refreshing,” Sophie captivates audiences as she takes them on a journey with her unique sound. Raised in a family of musicians, after graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium with a degree in music performance, she explored multiple genres and toured with platinum-selling artists before developing her own voice. Further praised by the Daily Telegraph in 2007 for “defying labels,” after ignoring advice by major labels, Sophie has released all her records independently and built a global fan base.

Passionate about women’s issues, Sophie founded and directed Every Woman Foundation for ten years (2008-2018), which was recognized as one of Canada’s top 100 women’s organizations. She is a Global Television Women of Vision Award 2014 winner and the recipient of the Women of Inspiration Arts & Cultural Award 2017. Currently, Sophie is working on a new studio album and preparing to release The Music Thief, a children’s book about self-expression, inspired by her and her family's journey with neurodiversity. Additionally, the violinist is working on a new studio album and has upcoming performances in Edmonton, Armstrong, BC, and Kelowna in the new year.
