Last night,I had the honour of performing at the Myer Precious Metal Ball, a star-studded charity gala held at the Palladium at Crown in Melbourne. It was one of those nights that reminds you exactly why I love what I do — a room full of glamour, generosity, and genuine purpose.

The Ball is one of Melbourne’s most anticipated events on the social calendar, and this year’s evening raised funds for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. Olivia herself was there, along with a guest list that included TV host Melissa Doyle and comedian Vince Sorrenti — and against a backdrop like that, taking the stage felt every bit as special as it sounds.

There’s something different about playing for a cause you believe in. The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre exists because of nights exactly like this one — because rooms full of people are willing to show up, get dressed up, and give generously toward something bigger than themselves. Getting to add my violin to that atmosphere, and to share the stage in support of Olivia’s own cause, was a genuine privilege.

It was an honour to play for Olivia — a moment I still look back on fondly. Here’s to nights that are as meaningful as they are memorable.
